FTM IS SO RIGHT.
I am sitting at my desk and had to blog this. I skipped my morning snack, mostly because I am sick of cheese.
And I realized why I am so quick to skip snacks. It's cuase these calorie goals are big goals.
Sure I can go get a burger and fries and be done for the day, but it's not smart.
You called our Candi-Land yesterday, and yeah I will fess up. Eating "that much" scares me because I don't want to gain weight.
Like, I understand the concept of eating more to get the metabolism working, but it's annoying and frustrating.
I need snack ideas that will not result in high cholestrol cause I'm eating cheese or eggs.
Welcome!

AHHHH I see. Well initially your weight may creep up a bit but its because your body will get used to having calories again. There are two options either your eat at maintenance or we go super slow and don't allow you in the gym, and make you eat a few more calories every week until you reach your maintenance. The first way works just as well as the second, and I would hate to have you regress from your current fitness level.
When your body is in a caloric defecit for long periods of time, which is the case with lifetime dieters, your body will stop releasing certain hormones, and conducting bodily functions. It will slow fat loss to a creeping hault. Which is what happens to people who have seen a huge drop in weight initially starting a new diet and exercise program, and then they stall. I have seen this a ton in the last three months. Starving yourself will last for a bit, and then your body fights back. If you have friends that have been dieting forever, and they "just can't seem to lose anymore", tell them to eat something.
I don't think you need to worry about the cholesterol in eggs, unless you already have a problem...they got a bad rap years ago but, like many things, they're "OK" to eat again. Of course, the other golden rule is, Everything in moderation...good job so far today!
